We went to some strange place that I never really noticed, even though I come by the street next to it at least once a week.
It’s called 山形屋台村 <Yamagata yatai village>
It seemed quite busy and the only place that could have our numbers was some place that had gyouza, yakiniku, kushiyaki.. well.. normal stuff.
This 花餃子 <hanagyouza> seemed pretty interesting though. It was good, much better than my instant gyouzas.

Wow, that actually has a name? I thought it was just a fancy way to serve big orders of gyouza. Which is how I roll, of course.
Yatai are quite fun to eat at actually, but the yatai here are surprisingly expensive. At least, you’d expect them to be cheaper than restaurants with proper airconditioning, tables and stuff…
